Grami Foxtail Millet (Kaon/ Kang/ Kangni/ Kakum/ Navani/ Korralu/ Korra/Thinai) – 1 Kg

Foxtail millet is primarily grown in the states of some Northern and Southern parts of India, as well as a few northeast states.

It is a dry crop that is planted in the last week of May and can be harvested in up to 70 days. The erect annual plant with robust culms can reach up to 150 cm in height, with ovate leaves extending up to 40 cm.

Foxtail can be grown in both the tropical and subtropical zones, with low and moderate rainfall. Even at a height of 2000 m and an amount of rain of 50-75 cm, the crop can be grown. Foxtail grows best in well-drained soil. They can’t stand flooded soils or severe drought.
